Applicants should select the accreditation category that most accurately reflects their institution’s primary activities, operational model, and educational or training services.

Yes. Institutions providing multiple services may apply under the accreditation category that best represents their primary activities and applicable scope of operations.

Yes, provided they can demonstrate that they meet the applicable eligibility requirements and provide sufficient evidence for evaluation against the relevant Institutional Accreditation Standards.

The USIA Organizational Development System (UODS) is an integrated development ecosystem that supports accredited organizations through organizational development, leadership enhancement, workforce capability, organizational learning, professional collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Yes. Accredited organizations may select the UODS services and development opportunities that best align with their strategic priorities, organizational needs, and development objectives.

Yes. Where appropriate, USIA may support accredited organizations in establishing, developing, or strengthening corporate academies, internal training centers, workforce development functions, or organizational learning departments.

Eligible organizations may apply for authorization to issue certificates through the applicable USIA Certification Framework, subject to the required authorization, policies, and certificate issuance requirements.

Eligible training providers, educational institutions, organizations, corporate academies, professional development providers, and other qualified entities may apply for accreditation of their training programs or educational materials.

Program Accreditation is intended for eligible organizations and training or educational providers responsible for the development, ownership, or delivery of the submitted program or educational material.

USIA may accredit eligible professional, technical, vocational, engineering, industrial, workforce development, continuing education, and other structured training programs that fall within the applicable accreditation scope.

Yes. Eligible in-person, online, blended, and other structured delivery formats may be considered for accreditation, provided they satisfy the applicable Program Accreditation Standards.

Accredited Training Program (ATP) applies to a complete structured training program, including its objectives, content, learning outcomes, instructional design, delivery, and assessment methods.

Accredited Educational Material (AEM) applies to structured educational or training materials submitted for independent evaluation and accreditation.

No. Trainer Accreditation is not a training course. It is a professional evaluation and accreditation process based on the applicant’s qualifications, experience, competencies, training background, supporting evidence, and other applicable evaluation requirements.

Trainer Accreditation is intended for trainers, instructors, consultants, subject matter experts, corporate trainers, technical trainers, and other qualified learning professionals seeking independent recognition of their professional training competence and experience.

USIA offers the following Trainer Accreditation levels:

Certified Professional Trainer (CPT)

The USIA Certificate Issuance Platform is a secure digital system that enables authorized organizations, accredited training providers, and accredited trainers to request, manage, issue, and maintain trainee certificates through a standardized online environment.

Access is limited to organizations and professionals that have received the applicable accreditation or Certificate Issuance Authorization. Access permissions are determined according to the user’s approved role and scope of authorization.

Yes. Eligible accredited trainers who have received Certificate Issuance Authorization may access the platform and request certificates within their approved scope.

No. Certificates may only be issued for training programs that are available within the authorized user’s approved program list. A new program must first complete the applicable review and approval process before certificates can be issued for it.

Available certificate types depend on the applicable accreditation body, certificate category, approved training program, and the user’s authorization. The platform displays only the certificate options available within the authorized scope.

Yes. The platform supports individual certificate requests, multiple trainee entries, and bulk submissions where the applicable requirements are satisfied.

No. Certificate requests are subject to administrative review before issuance and permanent digital registration.

Processing time depends on the completeness and accuracy of the submitted information and the administrative review required. Most standard certificate requests are processed within two business days.

Anyone may use the USIA Certificate Verification System, including employers, educational institutions, organizations, government agencies, professional bodies, certificate holders, and members of the public. No user account is required.

Certificates can be verified using either of the following official methods:

QR Code — Scan the QR Code printed on the certificate for direct access to the verification record.

No. Professional Membership recognizes professional affiliation and commitment to professional standards. It does not constitute competency certification.

Applications are reviewed through a structured recognition process that includes eligibility verification, document review, and professional evaluation against the applicable Professional Membership requirements.

A traditional experience certificate generally confirms employment, position, or duties as reported by an employer. CPE is an independent professional recognition based on an evaluation of verified professional experience, responsibilities, achievements, competencies, career progression, and supporting evidence.

PQR is intended for individuals who hold professionally acquired qualifications and wish to obtain independent recognition based on the quality, relevance, credibility, and supporting evidence of those qualifications.

Applicants may submit professionally acquired qualifications, including:

Professional certificates.

Professional diplomas.

No. PQR is designed exclusively for professional qualifications. It does not evaluate academic degrees or provide academic credential equivalency.

No. Professional experience is one factor considered during the evaluation. The Fellowship assessment considers the applicant’s overall professional profile, including achievements, leadership, qualifications, professional influence, contributions, and supporting evidence.

Each application undergoes an independent, comprehensive, and evidence-based evaluation by the Fellowship Evaluation Committee based on the applicant’s overall professional profile and supporting evidence.

Programs are organized by Professional Sector, Industry Category, Supported Discipline, and Program Title.

No. USIA does not deliver the training programs listed in the directory. Training is delivered independently by accredited training providers or other authorized organizations operating within the applicable USIA frameworks.

No. A Supported Program is a program title included within the USIA Supported Programs Directory. Program Accreditation is a separate quality assurance process that evaluates the actual training program against the applicable USIA Program Accreditation Standards.

Supported Program Titles may be used by organizations and individuals holding the applicable authorization under the relevant USIA accreditation or certification framework and in accordance with USIA policies.

Programs are classified according to their primary professional purpose, industry relevance, occupational scope, and intended learning objectives using the applicable USIA classification methodology.

The selected Program Title should accurately represent the principal subject matter, professional competencies, intended learning outcomes, and scope of the training program.

If an appropriate Program Title is not available, an accredited training provider or authorized organization may submit a request for review. The proposed title will be evaluated in accordance with the applicable USIA classification methodology and governance requirements.

Yes. New Program Titles may be considered to reflect emerging professions, evolving industries, workforce needs, and new areas of professional practice. Proposed titles are subject to review before inclusion.

No. Inclusion confirms only that the Program Title is recognized within the USIA classification framework. It does not constitute accreditation, approval, or endorsement of the training program, its content, or its delivery.
